Pratt & Whitney officials say the company has delivered the 200th F119 engine for the F-22 Raptor. Rich Knoll, deputy program director for the F-22 System Program Office, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, called the F119 “awesome.” Two F119-PW-100 engines power each F-22 fighter.
The Air Force on March 12 awarded contract modifications worth a combined $2.4 billion to Boeing to procure an undisclosed number of E-7 Wedgetail as part of the program's engineering and manufacturing development phase and continue work on the airborne battle management aircraft’s radar.
