As part of an effort to improve the nation of Fiji’s health care capabilities, airmen with Pacific Air Force’s International Health Affairs division visited Fiji recently for two weeks. The medical team trained the Fijian military in combat lifesaving skills and helped local health care facilities build plans for effective intervention and promotion programs.
The six-week government shutdown did not affect the hours flown by Air Force pilots, a service spokesperson told Air & Space Forces Magazine—avoiding what could have been a major blow at a time when flying hours are already lower than they have been in decades.
