SrA. Jacob Henry became the first senior airman in the Air Force to graduate from the Advanced Weapons Director Course at Nellis AFB, Nev., in June. Assigned to Misawa AB, Japan, Henry was selected for the course, normally reserved for staff sergeants through master sergeants, because of “his exceptional ability to manage himself under pressure,” says Capt. Jeremy Huffaker, commander of Henry’s unit, the 610th Air Control Flight. MSgt. Allison Day reports that Henry began Airman Leadership School yesterday and will be promoted to staff sergeant once he completes ALS.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
