Hahn Receives Posthumous Airman’s Medal

SSgt. Timothy Hahn died last summer when he tried to save a member of his hiking group caught in a flash flood in Sabino Canyon in Arizona. Last week, the Air Force awarded Hahn, who was a member of the 563rd Rescue Group’s maintenance squadron at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., an Airman’s Medal for his heroic act. Hahn’s wife, Candice, and daughter, Abriana, accepted the medal during a ceremony at Davis-Monthan. (355th Fighter Wing report by SSgt. Tim Beckham)
