Missouri Gets Sentimental Over Warthogs:
Air Force Reserve Commands’ 442nd Fighter Wing, Whiteman AFB, Mo., has dedicated one of its 15 A-10s in honor of the city of Branson, Mo., calling it the Thunderbolt of Branson. Actually, the Missouri Reservists have named 13 of their Warthogs for Missouri cities, reports the Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader.
An important U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS command and control plane was among the aircraft damaged in a March 27 Iranian missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, people familiar with the matter told Air & Space Forces Magazine.
