Air Force Reserve Command surpassed its recruiting goal for the fifth straight year, and did so in record time. The recruiting year ends Sept. 30, but by Aug. 11, AFRC had already met its goal of 8,800 recruits for the year. That is the earliest date it has ever hit its recruitment mark.
The Senate voted Nov. 10 to approve a stopgap funding bill that would reopen the federal government and keep it funded through January, a significant step toward ending the longest shutdown in U.S. history.
