Retired Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger, the first female four star general in Air Force history, is the new chair of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services. The Pentagon announced Wednesday that Wolfenbarger, who retired in 2015 as the commander of Air Force Materiel Command, would replace retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Frances C. Wilson. DACOWITS is a committee of civilian men and women convened to provide advice on the recruitment, retention, treatment, and integration of women in the armed forces.
