Brig. Gen. Scott Smith, deputy commander of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, has been tapped to be the inspector general for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott AFB, Ill., according to a Jan. 9 general officer announcement. In addition, Brig. Gen. Jerry Harris, vice commander of 5th Air Force, will move to director of programs in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Programs at the Pentagon, according to the release.
