The Women in Military Service for America Memorial has created a special exhibit displaying more than 100 photos that show US soldiers and Marines in action from the Civil War to the present day, according to a May 28 American Forces Press Service release. “The American Soldier: A Photographic Tribute to Soldiers and Marines” opened on Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day at the Women’s Memorial in Arlington, Va., and is free.
