Martin announced Sept. 13 that the first production C-5M Super Galaxy now has a newly painted tail flash. Lockheed’s Marietta, Ga., production facility painted tail No. 31285 with the new flash. The company expects to deliver this aircraft to Air Mobility Command soon for stationing at Dover AFB, Del.
A second B-52H Stratofortress is now being modified with a upgraded radar for testing after the first test bomber crashed in June, and work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, officials said July 27.
