US Air Force SSgt. Janna E. Less, a security forces airman from the 501st Combat Support Wing, died Saturday. She was stationed at RAF Croughton, United Kingdom, with the 422nd Security Forces Squadron. The cause of death is under investigation, but no further information was released. “We are heartbroken by this tragedy,” said Col. Kevin Cullen, 501st CSW commander. “Our thoughts and prayers are with sergeant Less’ family during this incredibly difficult time.”
Brig. Gen. Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, the last surviving triple ace from World War II, was honored one last time by the nation's top Airmen when he was buried here with full military honors March 30.
