Russia’s Air Force will get two new Su-34 bombers in 2006, according to Gen. Vladimir Mikhailov, the chief of the Russian Air Force. One of the bombers is in an assembly hall and is nearly ready and the other likely will be ready by September, RIA Novosti news service reports.
A legislative standoff has led to a lapse in a $4.26 billion small business innovation contracting program widely used by the Air Force and could spell the end of it entirely, industry sources warned Air & Space Forces Magazine.
