Seventy-two percent of the American public trusts military officers to tell the truth, the latest Harris Poll found, an increase of eight points from a survey conducted in 2002. Americans also highly trust doctors and teachers, who ranked numbers 1 and 2, respectively, with 85 percent and 83 percent saying they could be trusted. Only 48 percent of Americans believe the President can generally be trusted, a significant drop of 17 percentage points from the 2002 Harris Poll. Still, the President beat out lawmakers—just 35 percent of Americans feel they can trust Members of Congress. See the full results here.
Pentagon Cancels $6B GPS Ground System Contract

The Pentagon has canceled its contract with RTX to field a ground segment to manage its most capable GPS satellites, a more than 15-year effort beleaguered by software development issues and cost overages.
