In a rare treat for a grandfather, Robert Fearing pinned a Bronze Star on his grandson, Air Force Office of Special Investigation Agent Robert Fearing at Travis AFB, Calif. Agent Fearing received the award for his work in counterintelligence operations at Balad AB, Iraq. USAF officials say he aided the capture of 50 enemy insurgents (the old name), including one high-priority terrorist leader—unnamed. Agent Fearing is an 18-year USAF veteran.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
