Officials of the 480th Intelligence Wing at Langley AFB, Va., plan to hold a special ground-breaking ceremony Tuesday at Langley, for the wing’s new Distributed Common Ground Station facility. Wing commander Col. Judy Chizek says the new facility, which has been in the works since 2001, will combine personnel and assets from six separate facilities. The wing also plans to mark the official opening of the 480th IW operations center with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday.
The Space Force wants to starting bringing in space professionals from Air Force Reserve Command this summer, starting with Reservists in full-time status who volunteer for full-time duty.
