AFP picked up the quote by Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Majjar from the Iranian news service. And, according to the Associated Press, Iranian-TV claims that Iran has produced its first domestic-built fighter aircraft. Called “Saegheh,” the aircraft reportedly is similar to the US F-18 fighter, but “more powerful,” reports AP. The unveiling came during Iran’s recent war game maneuvers.
