Preparing for the upcoming competition for the Air Force-Army Joint Cargo Aircraft program, teammates Raytheon and EADS CASA North America announced their proposed entrants—the C-295 and CN-235 transports. Raytheon, a division of defense giant RTX, recently announced a multiyear deal with the Pentagon to increase annual production of the Air Force’s primary dogfighting missile by more than 50 percent from two years ago.
