Orlando, February 18, 2010—Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz suggested that there are going to be more firings ahead on non-performing programs. In Q&A after a speech to AFA’s Air Warfare Symposium, Schwartz was asked if he had a message for industry. While none of the major aircraft contractors were selected to develop the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, all three say they are seeking further autonomous aircraft work for the Navy, foreign partners, or in the classified arena, and maybe future versions of the CCA itself.
