Selling Out?:

The housing development company that has run into problems with the privatization projects it won at several military bases, including Hanscom AFB, Mass., Little Rock AFB, Ark., Moody AFB, Ga., and Patrick AFB, Fla., is trying to sell some or all of the developments. Each of the Air Force developments are in different phases of completion—most well behind schedule, leaving the bases with inadequate housing and uncertainty over when new and refurbished housing construction might continue. And, American Eagle LLC is in hot water over property taxes with various communities. Florida Today reports that the Patrick development is one of three the company is seeking bids on and has two others in the process of being sold. Meanwhile, The Leader reports that American Eagle has completed only 25 of 468 new homes at Little Rock; 17 of 784 at Hanscom; two of 400 at Moody; and 163 of 552 at Patrick.
