Called Quail Hollow, the privatized housing development for airmen assigned to Dyess AFB, Tex., is turning heads. Dawn Davis-Spector, 7th Civil Engineer Squadron housing flight manager, tells the Dyess Global Warrior that the houses are “better quality homes than you find on base.” And, the development includes amenities such as tot lots, pools, and a clubhouse. Davis-Spector also says the developer provides “top notch” customer service and has dedicated police and maintenance personnel.

While none of the major aircraft contractors were selected to develop the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, all three say they are seeking further autonomous aircraft work for the Navy, foreign partners, or in the classified arena, and maybe future versions of the CCA itself.
