The 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale AFB, Calif., has received its second RQ-4A Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle. The high-flying UAV arrived at Beale on Nov. 3 after testers at Edwards Air Force Base checked it out. This is the last of the Block 10 production Hawks; the new Block 20 RQ-4B has been at Edwards for systems testing since its Aug. 25 rollout at Northrop’s Palmdale facility.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
