Georgia lawmakers have entered the fray caused by the Air Force proposal to shift critical civilian personnel positions from several Air Force Materiel Command bases to the central personnel center in Texas. Folks at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center have been most outspoken on the issue, and the Macon (Ga.) Telegraph reported earlier that Air Force documents showed the service had made its decision. Now, according to the Telegraph, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) and Rep. Jim Marshall (D-Ga.) have gotten assurances that the Air Force will consult before going final.
