Indian Air Force to Red Flag?: Defense officials in the US and India continue to pursue joint ventures, and one new one might be the participation by the Indian Air Force in USAF’s premier Red Flag exercise. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace, told reporters covering his visit to India that the US invited India to join in Red Flag as an observer next year or as an actual participant in 2008. The question is: Will the IAF be able to repeat their “win” over USAF fighters on our home turf? (Apparently no official talked about a victor at the last exchange.)
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
