Before concluding the confirmation hearing, Committee Chairman Sen. John Warner (R-Va.) said he is urging the rest of the Senate to proceed with an up or down vote on the nomination. “I have the feeling … it will be up,” he added before dropping the gavel.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
