The folks at Grand Forks AFB, N.D., want to spread some “good” words about the northern tier facility, so they have organized the “Tanker Winter Games.” Capt. Michael Meredith told the Associated Press news service that the event, which kicks off on Feb. 24, would bring together airmen from five tanker bases across the Air Force to “brainstorm” and share experiences. The airmen also will get to compete in races and rock climbing. Meredith said, the Grand Forks tanker team will be able to show the visitors how it conducts its mission “under some of the most demanding climactic conditions that your can imagine.”
