The Air Force has announced the five teams winning the 2005 Chief of Staff Team Excellence Awards. They were chosen from a field of 15 teams, all of which, said Air Force officials, promoted systematic process improvements, leading in many cases to cost savings and mission improvement. The Air Force has begun flying its CV-22 Ospreys again. But that is just the start of a multi-step process to return the fleet to normal operations following a deadly crash last year, the service says.
