USAF Pilot Becomes First to Earn Ace Status in Two Wars

Nov. 30, 1951

Maj. George A. Davis Jr. becomes the first American ace of two wars—World War II (seven) and Korea (14). Davis is later awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.
