The Air Force Weapons School at Nellis AFB, Nev., graduated its first-ever class of joint terminal attack controller advanced instructors, announced school officials. “This is a historic event for enlisted airmen and our nation’s combat power,” states the Dec. 18 release. This inaugural class of the JTAC Advanced Instructor Course had seven airmen in it, including an air liaison officer, combat controllers, and Tactical Air Control Party members. They graduated on Dec. 15 and “are now considered expert instructors for the full spectrum of terminal attack control operations and joint air-ground integration,” states the release. The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
