The Air Force has extended the deadline to submit completed 2011 community assessment surveys from later this month to April 3. Back in January, USAF officials sent out invitations to more than 350,000 randomly selected active duty airmen, reservists, spouses, and civilian employees to complete the anonymous survey, which reportedly takes about 30 minutes to 45 minutes to complete. The officials hope that the feedback they receive will yield insights to help them make improvements in family readiness centers, family advocacy programs, health and wellness centers, mental health clinics, and child and youth programs throughout the service. As of the end of February, officials have received back more than 70,000 completed assessments. (San Antonio release)
