A team of 11 airmen of the 1st Expeditionary RED HORSE Group deployed to Southwest Asia since April have put together pallets and shipped more than 2.6 million tons of cargo and equipment to 10 forward operation locations to aid RED HORSE construction projects like the one above. “In all my 22 years of Air Force experience, I have never seen anything as impressive as this team,” said MSgt. Richard Hovik, 1st ERHG superintendent, who is deployed from Malmstrom AFB, Mont. The team comprises airmen from different bases and disciplines, which SSgt. Brandon Long, an electrical craftsman deployed from Dover AFB, Del., said presented “a challenge” at first, but the team was “able to work out the kinks” and has become “twice as productive” as when they started.
