The Department of Justice is working to correct alleged violations of the 1994 uniformed services employment and reemployment legislation by the New York State Department of Corrections against New York Air National Guardsman Patrick Anson, reported the North Country Gazette on April 21. According to a complaint filed by DOJ with the US District Court in Albany, the state corrections department denied Anson seniority and higher compensation even though he took and passed a make-up sergeant exam following an active-duty commitment.
