The Defense Department has certified the 53rd of 55 weapons of mass destruction civil support teams—the 22nd WMD-CMT of the Puerto Rico National Guard. • Air Combat Command has presented the Gen. Carl A. Spaatz Award to Civil Air Patrol Cadet Col. Daniel Lamb; the Hampton Roads Composite Squadron cadet achieved the leadership award in less than four years, when it normally takes five years. • The Air Force has selected 29 officers to enter the service’s test pilot program at Edwards AFB, Calif., and two more to attend training at the Navy Test Pilot School at NAS Patuxent River, Md.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
