S Joint Forces Command last week undertook some virtual training for US and international partners in Orlando, Fla., using some of the latest simulation technology. The event also included industry representatives to enable the US and international military participants to outline their future needs. The JFCOM Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference, said Gregory Knapp, JFCOM’s Joint Warfighting Center executive director, helps industry change “the ways they build their technology to meet our needs.” A US Air Force joint terminal attack controller, SSgt. Dennis Krouse, from Ft. Hood, Tex., noted that the training involves “the next evolution of simulators, and it is going to make better JTACs.” (Report by TSgt. Larry Simmons.)
