Community leaders around Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina are launching a new land-use study to try to shift new developments outside the base’s potential “accident zone,” reports the Charleston Post-Courier. There is some consideration being given to buying land adjacent to the base to forestall problems. The BRAC specter lingers on.
