A British municipal council rejected an application by the US Air Force to build around 500 new houses on land near RAF Mildenhall, reports the Stars and Stripes. Local citizens last year cited concerns about increased traffic. The council, according to the Stripes, also noted that ongoing restructuring within the Air Force left the actual number of new homes needed in the air.
