The Wyoming Air National Guard’s 153rd Airlift Wing has received the first of four additional C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft the unit will get under BRAC 2005. The Tribune-Eagle reports that this first one came from Air Force Reserve Command’s 302nd Airlift Wing at Peterson AFB, Colo. With its new Herks, the Wyoming unit will have 12 airlifters.
The KC-Z4, a blended wing body tanker concept being developed by startup JetZero, could fuel larger groups of aircraft at longer range to hold more targets at risk, company officials say.
