The Enid (Okla.) News reports that Raptor program executive officer, Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Riemer, says the Air Force and Lockheed on Friday signed a contract for the 60-aircraft MYP. (See above) Riemer was in Oklahoma to speak to newly minted pilots from the undergraduate pilot training program at Vance Air Force Base. (Riemer also related some interesting flying experiences.)
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
