No matter if you help govern a state, when the Air Force calls you go. Air Force Reserve officer Brian Dubie, who also happens to be the lieutenant governor of Vermont, has been deployed to Iraq for about two weeks as a member of a field assessment team, according to a statement from his office. It is not the first time the Vermont official has been called to active duty, but the Burlington Free Press reports it’s his first time in Iraq.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
