Kenney Comes Up on One Year: As the Kenney Headquarters at Hickam AFB, Hawaii, nears the end of its first year, a senior Pacific Air Forces official says the warfighting center fills a previous void, like the other warfighting headquarters recently established by the Air Force, providing a “ready to act command and control capability 24/7/365.” Kenney commander, Lt. Gen. David Deptula, said, “Never again will we commence a no-notice contingency from a standing start.”
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
