Taking a Time Out: There is a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping military couples “get to know each other again,” according to Tom Wagner, executive director for the Military, Veteran, and Family Assistance Foundation, based in Dallas. The organization hosts a retreat for couples at the Heart of the Hills Camp, in the Texas Hill Country, northwest of San Antonio. The foundation, says Wagner, offers military members help in transitioning from the war on terror back into their everyday lives.
