Raytheon announced the delivery of the 300th T-6A Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) at its Wichita, Ka., facility Tuesday. Brig. Gen. Gregory Feest, Air Education and Training Command’s deputy director of air, space, and information operations for flying training, accepted the aircraft, which is replacing USAF’s T-37 as the primary undergraduate pilot training aircraft. To date, the Air Force and Navy have ordered 418 aircraft, with 251 delivered to the Air Force and 49 to the Navy.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
