The acting commander of Air Force Space Command, Lt. Gen. Frank G. Klotz, told a House Armed Services subcommittee that the establishment of the Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., has delivered a “new era in providing space combat effects to joint warfighters around the world.” He said that the JSpOC serves as a “one-stop shop” for all DOD space capabilities by integrating joint assets and improving US and allied combat capabilities.
The Air Force is requesting about $141 million for initial enlistment bonuses in its fiscal 2026 budget, while Space Force wants $13 million.
