DOD has asked 74,000 military spouses to participate in an online survey. The results, say officials, will help the department to “shape family programs” in a period dominated by deployment issues. The surveys come in two flavors—one directed at active duty families and one for reserve families. The Pentagon last conducted a survey seeking views of military spouses in 1999. This one concludes in January.
