No More Murderer’s Row: 
Tucked into the Senate’s 2006 defense authorization bill is an amendment that puts paid to burial in a national cemetery of anyone who’s convicted of a capital offense. (DR 09/26/05) And, wherever such an individual is buried, there will be no military honors. Senators were unanimous in their endorsement of the legislation sponsored by Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho).
The Air Force is requesting about $141 million for initial enlistment bonuses in its fiscal 2026 budget, while Space Force wants $13 million.
