Turns out that, according to recent reports, the Air Force has the smallest percentage of smokers of all the services. The most recent data, from 2002, shows the worst smoking case to be the Marine Corps at 38.7 percent. The Navy was second at 36 percent, and then the Army at 35.6 percent. In the Air Force, smokers comprised 27 percent of the force.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
