The Air Force Academy is the winner of the National Security Agency’s 6th Annual Cyber Defense Exercise, conducted earlier this month at Ft. Meade, Md., and at the three military academies. NSA network specialists and military experts formed the Red Cell team, which challenged cadet teams to defend a close computer network that was designed and built at each academy. The USAFA team finished with a score of 48,425 points—almost 2,000 points ahead of the second place finisher, the US Military Academy at West Point.
