Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld secured a declaration from Vietnamese defense officials that Hanoi would offer more assistance in US efforts to recover remains of Americans missing since the Vietnam War, reports Associated Press news service.Rumsfeld was in Hanoi on his fourth visit to Vietnam but his first as US Defense Secretary. He told reporters that the burgeoning relationship between the two countries has “to be comfortable for both countries.”
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
