USAF Medics Refine Hurricane Response Plans:

Wilford Hall Medical Center officials have approved the 59th Medical Wing’s Critical Care Air Transport Team Rapid Hurricane Response Plan, designed to prevent a repeat of the 2005 season when two hurricanes wiped out the team’s basic resources. According to Capt. Shaun Westphal, a CCATT pilot unit nurse manager and creator of the response team program, the CCATT collaborated with the 59th Readiness Squadron and 59th Aeromedical Staging Flight to ensure advanced preparation and rapid deployment when needed.
