Air Mobility Command has issued contracts totaling more than $2.3 billion to 11 airlines and teams to provide airlift services during Fiscal 2007 under the Air Force’s Civil Reserve Air Fleet program. These 11 CRAF contractors have committed to support DOD when its airlift needs outstrip the Air Force’s organic capability. (Read the list of 2007 CRAF participants here.)
The Air Force plans to finalize an acquisition strategy for its new Looking Glass nuclear command, control, and communications program by September—part of a prelude to a significant increase in the service’s NC3 spending in the coming years.
