Air Education and Training Command inactivated its 479th Flying Training Group at Moody AFB, Ga., on Thursday. The group has provided advanced fighter training and undergraduate pilot training at Moody for the past eight years, reports A1C Eric Schloeffel. Per BRAC 2005, AETC is consolidating the unit’s aircraft and other assets at other training bases.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
