Air Education and Training Command inactivated its 479th Flying Training Group at Moody AFB, Ga., on Thursday. The group has provided advanced fighter training and undergraduate pilot training at Moody for the past eight years, reports A1C Eric Schloeffel. Per BRAC 2005, AETC is consolidating the unit’s aircraft and other assets at other training bases.
The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
